Fraternity Honors Nine Members for Volunteer Service

Brothers receive the Seven Lights Alumni Award for their years of volunteer service

The Sigma Chi International Fraternity presented its 2018 Seven Lights Alumni Award on June 22 to nine members during the organization's Grand Council meeting at the Renaissance Chicago O'Hare Suites Hotel in Chicago. Each year, the organization presents the award to alumni who have provided years of exceptional volunteer service to the Fraternity at the local, provincial or international levels. Each candidate must be nominated by at least three brothers, at least one of whom is a current Grand Praetor, Grand Trustee, alumni chapter president or chapter advisor. This year's winners are:

  • Joe Beers, ARIZONA 1983;
  • Art Berg, OHIO 1982;
  • Bob Brown Jr., BRADLEY 1982;
  • David Decker, NORTHERN ARIZONA 1979;
  • Tim Dimond, KENT STATE 1993;
  • Brad Fischer, CAL. STATE-FRESNO 1981;
  • Joe Frueh, BRADLEY 1985;
  • Matthew Gleason, MINNESOTA STATE-MANKATO 2006; and
  • Stephen Kotz, ROCHESTER 1981
